MODULE 2

Strategic Project Leadership in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Leading Change and People Through Uncertainty

In this module, we focus on how effective leaders guide their organizations through change and uncertainty. As AI and digital transformation reshape how projects are delivered, the ability to lead with agility becomes a critical leadership capability.

You will explore how to design an integrated change management plan that aligns people, processes, and technology. The module emphasizes understanding human and organizational dynamics—how people respond to change and what leaders can do to foster motivation, clear communication, and resilience.

Adaptive Leadership Behaviors in Uncertain Environments

This course builds on a foundational understanding of project management principles. Participants are expected to be familiar with the key knowledge areas—such as scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder management—as well as the main project management processes. These include developing a project charter, defining objectives, and preparing a high-level project plan.

A basic grasp of these concepts will help participants engage more effectively with the course content, which focuses on applying modern and agile approaches to create greater project value.

n this assignment, you will prepare a high-level change management plan for the project you have selected. The goal is to demonstrate how effective change leadership integrates people, process, and technology dimensions to achieve sustainable transformation.

Your plan should provide a strategic overview rather than detailed operational steps. Focus on identifying the key drivers of change, major phases of implementation, and how you will engage and support stakeholders throughout the transition. Use the template on the right as a guide to structure your thinking.

Your submission should reflect your professional judgment and leadership perspective—showing how you would guide a real organizational change with clarity, empathy, and strategic intent.

Sample Change Management Plan

The sample on the right demonstrates how a high-level change management plan can connect the strategic, operational, and human aspects of transformation. It illustrates how effective leaders approach change holistically—by aligning people, processes, and technology to achieve sustainable results.

As you review the example, focus on how it:

  • Defines the purpose and scope of change clearly,

  • Identifies key stakeholders and communication strategies,

  • Integrates process adjustments and technology adoption plans, and

  • Anticipates potential challenges with practical mitigation approaches.

These examples are meant to inspire your own plan design, helping you think about how to guide your project team through transition while maintaining alignment with organizational goals. Use them as a reference to structure your ideas, but ensure your plan reflects the unique culture, dynamics, and needs of your chosen project.
